    The Old Face

A bride hires Nikhil to check her groom before the wedding, but the groom is the man Nikhil wrongly cleared two years ago.

    Read what Nikhil says

I’m Nikhil Bhatt, a private investigator in Bengaluru. Meera Iyer, a bride, hired me to check one man before her wedding.

At the engagement lunch, Aryan Khanna, Meera's groom, called me the investigator from Mumbai. I recognised him as Sameer Malhotra, the man I cleared 2 years ago.

The old report had no known wife, no unexplained shared money, and no missing history. It looked clean because I checked only what he allowed me to see.

A legal check found Aryan's logistics office was real, but the registered address was only 7 months old. An unsigned message then showed me my flat door. Someone knew where I lived.

I copied the threat to Meera and kept searching. The name Divya Menon appeared in a former tenant's history, but I still could not call it proof. Next I would find her before Faisal Merchant reached her.

    The Paid Silence

Nikhil refuses Faisal's money and public pressure while testing whether Aryan's company is real or a carefully arranged cover.

    Read what Nikhil says

I went to Aryan's logistics office in Koramangala because the company looked too real to dismiss. Faisal Merchant, Aryan's business partner, offered me a sealed envelope to end Meera's inquiry.

I refused the envelope. Faisal called me hired help in front of the staff, then said I was destroying Aryan's reputation without standing.

I did not argue in the room. I checked the authorisation letters and independent lease invoices. Faisal had signed the company's papers, but the registered address appeared after Aryan arrived under Sameer's name.

Meera's father sent a prepared statement calling me incompetent and threatening to expose my old mistake. I sent him the source notes instead, because a threat is not evidence.

The envelope stayed unopened in my car. Faisal knew I was close to something, so next I would check his personal history before the office surface protected him.

    The Ward Below

Nikhil follows a missing man's earring to a hospital ward and learns that an employer hid him inside a false courier identity.

    Read what Nikhil says

Leela Rao, an HR manager, hired me to find Sanjay, her brother. He had left a Koramangala flat and missed a medical appointment, so I treated the silence as danger.

I traced Sanjay's earring to a hospital pharmacy. I found him asleep in a ward after a medication reaction, not hiding in the flat everyone searched.

Sanjay said he did not disappear voluntarily. His employer had been using his old identity to run a courier business and had sent someone to keep him away from the family.

Leela's sister-in-law called me the wedding investigator in the waiting room. I ignored the embarrassment and got Sanjay's statement, the false address, and the employer's written company details.

The case was closed enough for the family, but the same kind of hole appeared in Meera's groom's paperwork. I told her his business life has gaps hidden inside apparently legitimate documents.

    One Real Page

After escaping a dangerous pursuit, Nikhil obtains a document naming Divya and Aryan together and sends it for independent verification.

    Read what Nikhil says

I reached the old residential building where Divya Menon was supposed to have lived with Aryan. A Toyota was parked across the exit, and its driver was watching the stairwell instead of the road.

The driver shut the gate behind me and followed when I tried the service lane. I escaped between parked scooters, bruised but holding a photograph of the licence plate.

Inside, a tenant handed me a photocopy of a municipal ward form naming Divya Menon and Aryan together, then disappeared before answering questions. I sent it to Meera without treating one page as proof.

The form gave us a real direction, not a complete answer. We still needed an independent record before Meera's family could use it publicly.

I sent the copy to Meera's advocate and warned her not to contact Aryan. The next lead was a records clerk near Whitefield who might confirm that the address was genuine.

    The Planted File

Nikhil investigates a tenancy file tied to a hidden partner and discovers that someone used his own old investigation to steer the witness.

    Read what Nikhil says

I reached the retired records clerk near Whitefield because Divya Menon, the woman tied to Meera Iyer's groom Aryan Khanna, may have lived there.

He confirmed Divya and Aryan signed the same ward form. A duplicate flat key had been collected after Payal, my original client, accepted my old report.

Then I saw my case number written in the tenancy folder margin. My hand tightened hard enough to wrinkle the photocopy.

I proved the address trail had been planted by someone with access to my report. Before confronting Payal, I chose to trace what she did with it.

The first path led to copied stylist credentials at a boutique, and I followed.

    Credentials In The Blouse

Nikhil traces a stolen bridal design sold by someone abusing a wedding stylist's trusted credentials, but the purchase trail leads toward a blocked evidence parcel.

    Read what Nikhil says

I was checking designer Nandita Shah's bridal collection when a buyer entered wearing a blouse cut from her original pattern.

The seam, facing and unusual shoulder line matched Nandita's secured sample. That made the blouse more than ordinary copying.

The purchase receipt used copied credentials belonging to Meera Iyer, the bride who hired me to check Aryan Khanna.

I proved the stolen blouse was sold through copied stylist credentials, though the record did not prove the stylist made it or sold it herself.

The same studio credentials appeared on a courier account that later rejected my evidence parcel.

    The Evidence Split

Nikhil learns that Payal weaponized his old clearance and, after Faisal blocks delivery and rent, separates the wedding proof across safer custodians.

    Read what Nikhil says

The courier refused my evidence parcel because the sender identity was disputed, but Aryan Khanna's hidden wife, Divya Menon, had already opened her document bag.

Inside was my Sameer Malhotra clearance report, annotated with an instruction I never wrote. Payal, my original client, had used it to make Divya doubt her memory.

At the same time, my landlord served notice because the rent transfer failed a bank review. Faisal Merchant, Aryan's business partner, was poisoning every route.

I kept the original marriage certificate with Meera Iyer's lawyer, the bride I was protecting, gave Divya verified duplicates, and sent future evidence as a decoy.

The disputed sender account led to a courier depot tied to Faisal's logistics company.

    The Crowded Archive

Nikhil verifies a falsely listed violin, resists unwanted pressure in a private archive, and survives a dangerous depot accident to connect the false identity route to Faisal.

    Read what Nikhil says

The disputed sender account led me to an auction catalogue listing a rare violin under another seller's identity, so I went to verify its serial number.

At the auction house's private archive, a sales representative backed me against the shelves and reached for my phone. I blocked his hand and stepped away.

The archive confirmed the catalogue photograph showed a borrowed instrument. Its corrected invoice named a different serial number from the one being auctioned.

At the courier depot, a loose steel stair plate gave way beneath me. I dropped onto the landing hard enough to injure my shoulder.

I proved the violin was sold under a false identity, and the crate tied the route to Faisal Merchant, the groom's business partner. Next I went to the office behind Aryan Khanna's respectable cover.

    The Office Turns

Nikhil confronts Faisal inside the groom's respected logistics company and persuades its manager to reject Faisal's account and support the hotel meeting.

    Read what Nikhil says

The crate tag led me to Aryan Khanna's logistics office in Koramangala, where Faisal Merchant, the groom's business partner, had built a clean public version of the lie.

Inside, Faisal called me hired help before the staff and presented a clean authorization sheet. He wanted the room to believe his authority instead of the records.

I laid out independent lease invoices showing the premises and office identity were arranged after Aryan arrived as Sameer Malhotra, the identity I had cleared.

The office manager rejected Faisal's authorization sheet, identified who had really signed the logistics approval, and agreed to attend the hotel meeting.

Faisal still controlled the room, but not its witnesses. I called the hotel meeting before the wedding day.
